It truly was the "most wonderful time of the year"! We were honored to speak to a women's prison here in Phoenix, Arizona. We had a wonderful time with Prison Fellowship as we virtually ministered to more than 50 female inmates. Praise and worship and special, spoken word, guests were amazing. We even had the pleasure of being blessed by a small kid's choir.
But, the real blessing came by seeing the women, who were incarcerated, touched by the hand of God, and how their lives were changed through the love of God and the people who took the time to wish them a Merry Christmas. Although, the lives of the women were greatly impacted, on that December 23rd, the lives of all those who were able to minister were greatly impacted as well.
More than 20 inmates committed to yielding their lives to God. One inmate was touched by God, and the severe depression she was dealing with began to lift.
Sometimes the greatest gift one can receive comes through giving. I know that this event was a great gift to me. Giving love and support to those who society has written off or forgotten about is one of the greatest joys of my life. Jesus came to give Himself as a gift for us. It is much the same. While sin and shame have us bound, Christ yet died for us.
Thank you to Hope Fellowship for this opportunity. Thank you to my team for helping us be a part of being a gift to someone else. Most importantly, thank you God for giving us the means and support by which to be Your arms extended.
